The T-GUARD Lateral 15 x 15 cm is a flexible, multi-layered side impact plate designed, developed, tested, and manufactured in our CallOfDefense workshops. It is designed to complement rigid or flexible side impact protection, helping to distribute impact energy and reduce trauma transmitted to the wearer. Size: 15 x 15 cm side impact plate; Type: Flexible side impact plate; Structure: High-density multi-layer; Use: Complements a side impact plate; Compatibility: Compatible with 15 x 15 cm side pockets; Design: Developed and developed in our workshops; Testing: Internal testing conducted by CallOfDefense; Manufacturing: Manufactured in our workshops in France. The T-GUARD does not replace a ballistic plate. It complements existing protection.
The T-GUARD Lateral 15 x 15 is a multi-layered, flexible trauma plate developed by CallOfDefense to complement the effectiveness of lateral ballistic protection.
A ballistic plate can stop a projectile without completely eliminating the energy transmitted to the body. This energy can cause backface deformation, known as BFD , as well as significant trauma to the impact area.
The role of the T-GUARD is to add an additional layer between the ballistic plate and the wearer, in order to help distribute the energy of the impact and reduce transmitted trauma.
This 15 x 15 cm version is intended for side configurations, particularly for plate carriers equipped with compatible side pockets.
The T-GUARD is designed, conceived, tested and manufactured in our CallOfDefense workshops .
Unlike a generic anti-trauma plate, the T-GUARD is developed around a simple logic: to effectively complement a ballistic plate, improve energy distribution and offer a solution adapted to the actual format of the plates used.
Each plate is manufactured in the workshop, with a high-density flexible multi-layer structure.
The manufacturing is done in France, but the central element remains our workshop control: design, drawing, cutting, assembly, control and adaptation according to demand.
The side plates protect sensitive areas of the torso, but they can also transmit a significant portion of the impact energy to the wearer.
Even with a rigid side ballistic plate, rear trauma can still be significant depending on the ammunition, distance, plate used, angle of impact and user morphology.
The addition of a lateral anti-trauma system improves the management of energy transmitted behind the plate and enhances wearing comfort.
Without additional trauma protection, a stopped impact can still lead to:
deep contusions
significant localized pain
risk of rib trauma
loss of mobility or immediate discomfort
rear trauma behind the plate
The ballistic plate stops the threat. The anti-trauma system helps limit the impact transmitted to the body.
