Display model. May have some minor paint imperfections. High-cut ballistic helmet made of woven aramid, tested according to NIJ IIIA 0106.01. The A1-GEN1 is a complete ballistic platform, designed to offer reliable protection, good stability while wearing, and compatibility with modern tactical accessories. Cut: High Cut type FAST SF. Material: High-performance woven aramid. Protection: Tested according to NIJ IIIA 0106.01. Additional testing: NIJ 0101.06 level IIIA reference threat. Rails: Skeleton Super High Cut. Compatibility: NVG, audio systems, lights, rail accessories. Traceability: 2025 ballistic report extract provided. Each helmet and each pack is assembled, prepared, tested, and inspected in our workshops. Each order including a helmet is delivered with a 2025 ballistic report extract. End-of-line note: This Coyote Brown color is offered as an end-of-line item. Available quantities are limited, and no restocking is guaranteed once the stock is depleted. The "end of series" designation only applies to the availability of the color. It does not affect the quality of the shell, ballistic performance, workshop preparation, or the helmet's traceability.
The A1-GEN1 is a High Cut ballistic helmet made of woven aramid, designed for users looking for a serious, stable and ready-to-use platform.
Its aramid shell offers a rigid, stable, and proven structure with little to no deformation upon impact. This material is particularly well-suited to intensive use, hot or arid environments, and configurations where hull stability is paramount.
With a raw S/M shell weighing less than 1 kg , the A1-GEN1 positions itself as a particularly lightweight aramid platform. Once prepared with its finishing elements, and then equipped with its Skeleton Super High Cut rails and NVG shroud , it maintains an excellent balance between protection, stability, and mobility.
The A1-GEN1 is tested according to the NIJ IIIA 0106.01 standard, applicable to ballistic helmets.
Additional tests are also conducted with deviations from the NIJ 0101.06 Level IIIA reference threats, including:
9×19 mm
.357 SIG
.44 Magnum
Internally, CallOfDefense conducts fragmentation impact behavior tests according to a STANAG- inspired simulation protocol, in a V50 type logic.
These tests rely on the use of lightweight, fragmentary equivalent projectiles, weighing approximately 1.3 g , launched at estimated speeds between 680 and 705 m/s depending on the test configuration. They allow observation of the hull's response to rapid, concentrated, and high-velocity impacts.
S/M: 53–58 cm
M/L: 55–60 cm
L/XL: 58–63 cm
Aramid helmets can generally be chosen in your usual size. For extended wear with a balaclava, hearing protection, or full helmet setup, it is recommended to check your head circumference before ordering.
Size S/M measured:
Raw shell: less than 1 kg
Case prepared with internal/external Velcro, labels and protective elements: approximately 1.030 kg
