Lateral Ballistic Plate IV 15x15

Rigid lateral ballistic plate combining a ballistic ceramic face with a UHMWPE backing, designed to provide Level IV protection in a stand-alone configuration. Its compact 15 × 15 cm size and simple curve allow it to be integrated into compatible side pockets of tactical plate carriers and cummerbunds. Weight approximately 0.78 kg per plate, with a tolerance of ± 50 g. Available individually or in pairs. While the plate functions without mandatory ICW soft protection, the use of a T-GUARD 15 × 15 cm trauma insert, or equivalent protection, is strongly recommended to reduce the effects of back trauma and improve wearer safety.

Level IV side protection

This side ballistic plate is designed to complement the wearer's frontal and dorsal protection by reinforcing flank coverage.

It combines a ballistic ceramic face, designed to break and slow the projectile, with a high-density UHMWPE rear support, designed to retain fragments and absorb residual energy.

Its simple curve improves its integration against the body and its stability in a compatible side pocket.

Standalone Configuration

The plate is designed in a Stand Alone configuration and does not require an ICW flexible panel to achieve the advertised level of protection.

Even when the projectile is stopped, some of the energy can be transferred to the wearer. Therefore, the use of a 15 x 15 cm T-GUARD lateral trauma insert, or equivalent protection, is strongly recommended. The T-GUARD is designed to be placed between the ballistic plate and the wearer and does not replace the ballistic plate.

Additional internal trial

An additional internal test was carried out with 220 grain SilverTip .300 Winchester Magnum ammunition at 7 meters , in order to observe the behavior of the plate beyond its normal use.
