Rigid ballistic plate made of UHMWPE polyethylene, designed to provide Level III protection in a stand-alone configuration. Its ceramic- and steel-free construction keeps the weight down to approximately 1.55 kg per plate, with a thickness of approximately 23 mm. The low density of UHMWPE also provides positive buoyancy: the plate floats when submerged. Available individually or in pairs. While the plate is designed to function without mandatory ICW soft body armor, the use of a T-GUARD trauma plate, or equivalent trauma protection, is strongly recommended to enhance wearer safety and reduce the effects of rear-end trauma.
