Rigid ballistic plate made of UHMWPE polyethylene, designed to provide Level III protection in a stand-alone configuration. Its Shooter Cut design offers greater shoulder freedom for easier movement and support of a rifle stock. Its ceramic- and steel-free construction keeps the weight down to approximately 1.45 kg per plate. Thanks to its UHMWPE construction, the plate also has positive buoyancy: it floats when submerged. Available individually or in pairs. While the plate functions without mandatory ICW soft body armor, the use of a T-GUARD trauma plate, or equivalent protection, is strongly recommended to enhance wearer safety and reduce the effects of back trauma.
This rigid ballistic plate is designed to provide protection corresponding to level III, based on NIJ classification 0101.06 .
Its core is made of multi-layered UHMWPE ballistic polyethylene, without ceramics or steel. This design allows for a low weight of approximately 1.45 kg per plate , while providing adequate protection against rifle threats at this level.
The upper corners of the plate are cut away to reduce bulk at the shoulders.
This geometry makes it easier to:
Its 25 × 30 cm format remains compatible with plate holders accepting Shooter Cut or SAPI M/L plates.
The plate is designed in a Stand Alone configuration and does not require an ICW flexible ballistic panel to achieve the advertised level of protection.
Even when a projectile is stopped, some of its energy can still be transferred to the wearer. Therefore, the use of a T-GUARD trauma plate, or equivalent trauma protection, remains strongly recommended to improve safety and reduce the effects of back trauma .
The UHMWPE construction offers low weight, no corrosion of the ballistic core and good resistance to multiple sufficiently spaced impacts.
Thanks to the low density of UHMWPE, the plate floats when submerged . However, this feature does not replace a life jacket or approved personal flotation device.
Additional internal tests were carried out to observe the behavior of this range of level III plates under repeated impacts and to test their limits:
These tests correspond to the plates, ammunition, and conditions used during the tests. They do not constitute additional certification and do not guarantee protection against all ammunition variants available in these calibers.
