Made from woven aramid, it maintains an excellent balance of lightness, strength, and ergonomics, while meeting the requirements of NIJ IIIA 0106.01, with threat deflection according to NIJ 0101.06. The Gen2 version incorporates an improved and reinforced chin strap and chin bar, providing increased comfort during extended wear, as well as internal reinforcement paint that reveals a circular area of exposed aramid with internal engraving. The helmet also features an engraved shroud. The external Velcro straps will soon be updated to a new, more streamlined design, without impacting compatibility or performance.
